About Poker Duel
Poker Duel is an entertainment game using free play points only. Points are not sold, cannot be transferred, and cannot be redeemed for cash or prizes.
What the game is
Poker Duel is a fast poker-inspired strategy game where two players compete over a series of short rounds. Instead of receiving one traditional poker hand, each player receives five two-card hole sets. In each round, you choose one unused set, combine it with the community cards, and try to make the strongest poker hand. The format keeps familiar poker hand rankings while adding a new layer of timing, selection, and resource management.
The goal is to create a clean, readable table experience that can be played casually against local AI or tested online with friends. Online rooms are designed to use server-controlled deck logic so that players cannot pick cards locally or refresh for free information. The game is still an online beta, so features may change as the project improves.
Why Poker Duel is different
Most poker games focus on one hand at a time. Poker Duel asks you to manage five possible hole sets over a full match. Choosing the strongest-looking set too early may win a round but leave weaker sets for later. Holding a good set for a better board can be powerful, but waiting too long may cost value. The result is a quicker duel that rewards planning instead of only waiting for premium cards.
Current platform focus
The web version is built primarily for desktop browsers with basic mobile browser compatibility. A dedicated mobile app may be created later. For now, the mobile web layout is intentionally simple: the table, play buttons, points, lobby, shop, and help pages should remain usable without complex phone-only overlays.
Project principles
- Free play points are for entertainment and cosmetics only.
- Cosmetics should never change card odds or gameplay fairness.
- Online play should reduce cheating by keeping deck and game state on the server.
- Players should have clear rules, clear account information, and clear point policies.
